Another year in the books! Bring on 2011!

This time of year is always a reflective time for me, time to look back on the past twelve months and document the incredible things that happened.

This past year was a great year for me personally as well as professionally. Our first solo CD A WILLING HEART was a huge blessing and made some inroads in the international market that was previously unknown to us. The album was released in April and is STILL moving comfortably in the various charts.

I got to go to Norway and beyond and stopped in Austria, made a couple of videos and actually wrote most of the new album in the past few months. I also discovered a new writing partner. My good friend of ten years Zita DaSilva and I have started writing songs together and the results are outstanding. I’m a difficult person to write with; opinionated, bossy, basically a “songwriting know-it all” but Zita has brought a spark to my writing that I didn’t know existed. I think we will be writing a lot in the future.

We have the new project blocked out and are getting ready to get down to it shortly. We will have a new single ready early in the new year, a beautiful ballad called ‘Alabama Rain’ and the album titled ‘Stay on The Porch’ will be ready by April. Watch for it!

I want thank everyone that stuck by me in 2010, my producers and best friends Bill and Andrew Hill of Chestnut Tree Productions in Montreal, merci, love you guys, my management team at EMG, sister Sandy, love ya! Natasha, thanks for your patience and belief, Keith Bradford in Nashville, Tennessee, thank y’all old standby Bobby Curtola, grazie for the encouraging words. My great webmaster, Chris Wardman for always making me look good online! My nehews Graham and Ian, ‘Grarob and Irob’, thank you boys. My friend and writing partner Zita, thanks for the inspiration and haircuts and the positive belief in me, obrigado. Thanks to Rose and Paul Learn for their support and dedication to my music.

Also 2011 is year I have been waiting for, the number 11 has followed me for years and I guess it is my lucky number. I lived at 47 Cundles, 4+7=11, my parents lived at 6511 ( get it? ) A WILLING HEART is number 6511 in the catalogue, the album is 38 minutes long ( 3+8= 11) and so on.. So this is the year it all comes together!!!! ONWARD!!!
